The Deadline for First Communion/Reconciliation Applications is Oct. 25.
First Communion and Reconciliation is open to all students in 2nd Grade and above.
Students not in Catholic school are expected to attend all of the weekly classes on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 PM. Catholic school students are not required to attend the Wednesday classes but are expected to attend practices, retreats, and special events throughout the year.
During the first half of the year (September to December), we will prepare students to receive First Reconciliation in January. This includes teaching them what a Confession is, how to do a Confession, and how to do an examination of conscience.
During the second half of the year (January to April/May), we will prepare students to receive First Communion, which usually occurs in April or May. This includes teaching them what Communion is, why it is the "source and summit" of the Christian faith, how to receive Communion, and how to present the gifts for the Eucharist during Mass.
