VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Classes are taught by volunteer Catechists. Catechists do not have to be professional teachers; the most important qualification is a desire to share your Catholic faith with the children of our parish. There is also always a need for substitute teachers to be available when a Catechist can’t be in class.

There are also volunteer opportunities for those who can’t make a weekly commitment but still want to be a part of the faith journey of the children of our parish. We will have several special events throughout the year to build community among our students, and volunteers are needed to help organize.
All volunteers must have a background check completed through the Archdiocese before they can work with children.

Teachers and Teacher's Aides who have children in CCD will have their children's CCD fees waived.

VIRTUS Certification:

For the safety of the youth and vulnerable, all volunteers must receive a VIRTUS certification. This is a background check and training course. Please email our VIRTUS Coordinator, Julie Hines, for more detail. [email protected]
